About Me / How I work

Hi, I'm Kit, a portrait photographer living and working in London.

I've been photographing headshots since 2008. In that time I have learnt a lot about what makes a good actors Headshot. I used to act at university and then later in London with various theatre groups. My days of acting are over but the knowledge of the industry has helped me to create a London headshots studio that delivers what casting agents are looking for. The sessions are spent developing a look that is personal to you.

It's so important we get to know each other a little bit before we start. A session always begins with a cup of tea and a chat about what you are working on, what auditions you plan to go to, and what you want to get out of the session. I enjoy working with actors because you are doing something you are passionate about, just like me. A lot of the people I photograph I keep in touch with and go see their performances.

I will guide you through the process and offer tips to get the best images. I'll coach you through different postures and poses, and by the end of the session you will feel like it was a easy.

We take our time during the session, a lot of London Headshot studios will try to rush you through, but for me the best images come from being relaxed and not rushed.

after the shoot I'll send you an online gallery of the images
from the day, for you to pick out your favourites.

You pick three headshots that stand out and these get
retouched to a high standard, I don't overdo my retouching
as it's important you look like yourself in the images.

Finally you will receive ALL the headshots taken, some photographers
withhold these but for me, it's important you have backup images
in case you change your mind and decide to use a different headshot.
